The Riviera Hosts Late-Night Laughs with Two Hysterical Acts

Former "Toughman" competitor Bob Larson and the adult musical comedy team of Mark & Tina will scorch the stage in KXTE's XXXTREME Comedy Showcase at the Riviera October 18-19.

Two entirely different styles of adult humor designed to excite, provoke and entertain will be presented late-night in the Riviera Comedy Club showroom Friday and Saturday.

At first glance, you wouldn't associate comedy with 6-foot-4-inch Bob Larson and, up to a few years ago, neither did he. Prior to his commitment to the world of humor, Larson made his living as a lumberjack, auto mechanic and exterminator. His off-time was spent competing for "Toughman" titles in the United States and Canada and he taught martial arts for 12 years.

Larson loved comedy and loved to make people laugh. His idol was Jack Benny, but Larson thought more about becoming an actor than a comedian. However, in 1986, Larson saw his first stand-up performance and found himself going back every night. He decided comedy was his calling and worked hard to develop a conventional and observational style of humor.

As a professional, Larson has been a featured headliner in major clubs throughout the United States. In addition to the comedy club circuit, he has shared the stage with major acts such as Roseanne Barr, Louie Anderson, George Miller, Jamie Fricke and Will Durst.

The antics of Mark & Tina can only be described as "an adult musical comedy show." This energetic and fun shows takes the piano bar concept to a new level by combining outrageous adult comedy with rock & roll, country, oldies, and popular favorites. It is the ultimate naughty tavern sing-along where the crowd is always part of the show.

After working together full-time for a year in the Midwest, Mark & Tina moved their outrageous show to Las Vegas and have been busy working their magic in local nightclubs and casino lounges.

Whether they're clapping and singing, hysterically howling at the satirical lyrics, dancing the crazy dances, or enjoying their friends roasted on stage, audiences are involved in every aspect of the zany adult antics of Mark & Tina.

Bob Larson and Mark & Tina are guaranteed to give audiences a double-dose of humor on Friday and Saturday.
