Hecklefest™
Comics
Only comics who
can handle hecklers and who are naturally funny have been
chosen as Hecklefest™ comedians. The comics for Hecklefest™
are well-seasoned veterans of the comedy club circuit. Their
acts have been very well received in clubs across the country.
Therefore, even if heckling is kept to a minimum, the club
and audience are guaranteed a great show.
Here
are some of the comics who have been or are currently part
of the Hecklefest™ roster:
|
Bob
Larson - The creator of
Hecklefest™ and the ringleader of this motley
assortment of comics. Bob is a 20 year veteran of standup
comedy. Bob is no stranger to battle. Before starting
his standup career, Bob fought in brutal "Toughman"
competitions around the world. He's what you'd get if
you gave Van Damme a brain.
Fighting
style: Down and dirty. Like bare-knuckles brawling,
only with words. |
| |
|
 |
Craig
Allen -
Hecklefest™
veteran. Craig Allen's comedy has been described as
"bizarre, yet intelligent." His twisted logic
would make a Vulcan cry with laughter.
Fighting
style: Sniper. While other comics deal with
hecklers using a rapid-fire machine-gun style response,
Craig prefers cold, calculated shots. Like a sniper,
he'll wait for the perfect shot and take it. Your friends
will be laughing hysterically at you, before you even
realize you've been destroyed. |
| |
|
 |
John
Kunik - Hecklefest™ veteran. A professional
actor and director for 20 years, John used to spontaneity,
having performed in the interactive comedy "Tony
and Tina's Wedding". John's standup
resulted in him being a finalist in the 2002 Twin Cities
Laff-Off.
Fighting
style: Drunken Bear. John's presence alone
is enough to deter most hecklers. And like a bear, if
you provoke this comedian, you'd better start running. |
| |
|
 |
Tim
Mitchell - Hecklefest™ veteran. Dark
and bitter, like a good chocolate, or a premium ale,
he appeals to the masses and the smart folks too. Seen
through Tim's jaundiced eye, the mundane transforms
into the hysterically bizarre. Tim is a regular on PBS'
"Mental Engineering".
Fighting
style: Varies. A master of dealing with hecklers,
Tim can rampage like a Norse god, or play with hecklers
like a cat playing with a mouse. |
| |
|
 |
Pat
McCarthy - Hecklefest™ veteran. If it's
true that the meek shall inherit the earth, then Pat
McCarthy's in for one helluva payday. Expect smart comedy
from this Nervous Nelly. Oddly, Pat cannot be photographed.
Fighting
style: Rodeo Clown. Pat's nervous, quiet demeanor
is a ruse. Pat's gutsy enough to goad the crowd into
heckling him. |
| |
|
 |
Rox
Tarrant
- Comedy Diva. Rox is a Midwest favorite, and produces
her own comedy shows across the country.
Fighting
style: Cornered animal. Rox's perkiness is
dropped as soon as she's attacked. |
| |
|
 |
Holly
Henson
- Dubbed 'ruthlessly funny' by the Minneapolis Star
Tribune, Holly addresses modern day issues from a 'sexist-feminist'
point of view.
Fighting
style: Gloria
Steinem on steroids. |
